Pastor Flores has been involved in ministry since he was a child. Beginning at the age of 5 he aspired to be a minister. He was involved in his youth choir, weekly bible studies and served as an altar boy in the Catholic Church till the age of 16. His love for the church was apparent in that all of his extracurricular activities had to do with planning and serving on youth retreats, music events, outreaches and visiting nursing homes. He dreamed that one day he could follow in the footsteps of his Parish priest.
     He taught private guitar lessons in Junior High all the way through college. While in college he received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. The word of God changed his life so dramatically, that he began to research all that he had been taught in the Catholic Church, using the Bible as his primary tool for research. He began to examine the works of the early church Father’s, the Vatican Council’s and early church synod’s. Only to find that the Bible is the only true source for understanding and salvation through a knowledge of Jesus Christ.
     He believes in a sola scriptura interpretation of Scripture and began to compile information for a Bible class that would help people see the simplicity of the truth as revealed in scripture. While at the University of Houston, he began to compare British Literature with the King James Bible. With a fascination for the early English. He began to compile biblical definitions for the words used in the bible with the aid of the Early English Oxford Dictionary. Clearly the Holy Spirit began to work in His research as he began to work on his new curriculum. In 1993 he taught his first Steps in Biblical Confidence class. Students were comprised of ministers, business men and women, even skeptics and unbelievers. Since 1993, the class has helped countless individuals to develop a strong sense of security and confidence in the handling of scriptures.
     He established Living Word of God Ministries, in May of 1993 as a Para-church ministry designed to give the questioning Christian answers to some of the most  controversial scriptures which most denominations are divided over.
By September of the same year Pastor Dave was officially ordained by Rev. Phillip Brooks, an Assembly of God minister. For the following 10 years, Pastor Dave pastor-ed Living Word in the Houston Heights.
     After hundreds of hours of preaching and teaching, Pastor Dave decided to go to the College of Biblical Studies. He earned a Bachelors of theology Degree with an emphasis on Christian Leadership (BSCL) in 2003 . He is a highly regarded student and teacher.
     In 2004 he was asked to become the permanent pastor of Trinity Baptist Church which is now Living Word of God Church. He also directs the Music Conservatory of Pasadena. And continues to influence people to move forward in ministry and to become all that they can be for the kingdom of God. Pastor Dave’s vision of Living Word of God Church is that it will be known as a teaching platform for the clear exegetical teachings of God’s rightly divided word. And that it would be known as a house of Praise and Worship due to his excellent musical background. He plans on establishing Living Word of God Biblical Institute on the campus.
     Both Pastor Dave Flores and His wife Dee are spirit-filled Christians and believe in miracle signs and wonders following those that believe on the name of Jesus Christ!
 

Pastor Dave Flores is the founder and president of Living Word of God Ministries.  Established in 1993, the ministry's vision is to declare, teach and instruct the accuracy of scripture to a generation of biblically illiterate and wayward Christians.

Pastor Flores believes that the church has lost it's dynamics and power in our day and time.  He believes that the modern church has compromised by becoming a socially, politically correct, seeker sensitive, need based organization, rather than a strong and influential tower that can confront the evil of our day.  Pastor Flores has been in ministry for over 25 years.  He is an excellent teacher and preacher of God's word.  His teachings and sermons are based on over 25 years of in-depth biblical research and teaching.  He is also a music major and directs the music conservatory in the church as well as facilitates the Praise and Worship for the church. He is a graduate of the College of Biblical Studies which is an extension of the Dallas Seminary.
